180 Degrees Consulting
2014 – Present | Sydney, Australia

I am a consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting, a volunteer, student run organisation that offers professional consultation services to not-for-profits, and smaller businesses that are unable to afford the services of an expensive consultancy firm. My team’s latest report was completed for an Australian Maritime Conservation organisation. A group aiming to give our oceans the best chance of resilience against climate change, and place a focus on making fisheries sustainable, and protecting and recovering threatened ocean wildlife. Our report focused on strategies to market the sustainable seafood program through a targeted awareness campaign.

AIME is a dynamic educational program that is proven to support Indigenous students through high school and into university, employment or further education at the same rate as all Australian students. AIME gives Indigenous students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to grow and succeed. I am a Mentor and am involved with the Year 12 Outreach program.

2014 | Sydney, Australia

I was a member of a food tour initiative that sought to employ locals to lead tours through culturally rich areas of Sydney. The tours were sold to the public, and involved visiting local restaurants and eateries where participants would try various foods, and our tour guides would deliver narratives relevant to those meals.

Oxfam Trailwalker
Team Leader
2013, 2014 | Sydney, Australia

My team and I have participated in the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km Challenge for two years now, raising over $5000 in total. We spend months prior to the event preparing in an attempt to condition ourselves to complete the walk. We actively fundraise for months, organising events and engaging friends, family and the community with what Oxfam does and how they can help.

Oxfam is a fantastic organisation, working with families and communities to equip them with the tools and resources to achieve their basic human rights. They fund long-term projects around the world and work in a range of areas, from water and sanitation to education and health, to bring about positive change in people’s lives. There are also involved in urging governments and companies to change rules and practices that keep people in poverty, and we support communities to call for justice and take action, and, respond swiftly to emergencies – providing life-saving aid, support and protection, whether it’s an outbreak of disease, a natural disaster or a time of conflict.
